Once you have registered, you will be sent an e-mail with your username and password that will allow you to complete the online application form. Once we receive your online application we’ll send you the details of how to set up a personal interview.
Before the interview
- Provide details of your childcare experience (babysitting, nannying, coaching). There is a specific part of the online application that will ask you for the dates and details of your experience. All areas of the childcare experience should be clearly detailed and you should have at least 200 hours of non-family related experience within the past 3 years.
- Write a personal letter to your host family. This letter should be about 600 words and give the reader an understanding of your personality and experience
- Upload pictures of you and your family/friends to your application
- Upload three references to your application – two childcare references and one character reference
- Upload a medical report filled out by you and your doctor
- Upload a copy of your driver’s license, passport and educational certificate(s) to your application
After the Interview
- Send a valid police check to the office and upload a copy of it to your application
- Upload a video to your application
- Once you have completed all steps of your application, it will be sent to our Head Office in London for a final review. Our Head Office will then forward your application to the US where it will circulate amongst our pool of US host parents. Interested host families will come up on your profile.
